The M4 employs the A.R.G.O (auto-regulated gas-operation) gas system, a distinctive mechanism featuring two self-cleaning stainless steel pistons that directly engage the bolt assembly. This straightforward yet exceptionally reliable system eliminates the intricate mechanics found in many other semi-automatic shotguns, which tend to accumulate fouling faster and are harder to clean. Consequently, the A.R.G.O system enables the Benelli M4 to effortlessly cycle through nearly any 3” shell without necessitating adjustments, from heavy 00 buckshot to lightweight field loads.
The stock, crafted from a durable poly/rubber blend, is available in both the traditional shotgun stock design and a pistol grip version. Both configurations include a picatinny rail on the receiver for mounting optics and a sling mount for an ambidextrous shoulder sling.
